Why is it that our closest loved ones can also be the ones who challenge us the most? Navigating loving relationships effectively isn’t always easy — but simple tools can make a world of difference.
Join couples therapist and Registered Clinical Counsellor, Loretta Laurin for a series of three interactive and engaging workshops. Attend any session on its own, or take all three for 20% off. These workshops are designed for individuals, couples, or dyads who want to cultivate skills for thriving, lasting relationships.
All relationship styles are welcome, including LGBTQIA2S+, polyamorous, and platonic connections. Material for these workshops is inspired by Relational Life Therapy (RLT).
Oct 5 | Know Yourself: Explore the roots of your relational style
Feeling stuck in your relating patterns? Do you notice yourself getting triggered repeatedly, without fully understanding why? Beyond simple anxious or avoidant attachment labels, this workshop offers a deeper exploration of how you orient to connection and boundaries.
Discover whether you tend towards a one-up or one-down stance in relationships — and, more importantly, how you got there and what to do about it. Explore your primary relational style, compassionately understand its origins, and practice taking accountability. You’ll learn how to move toward the “center of health” so you can cultivate the relationships you truly desire.
Nov 2 | Break the Cycle: Discover a new relational compass
Are you stuck in the same negative cycle with a loved one, no matter how hard you try? In this workshop, you’ll uncover the roots of your shared negative relational patterns and gain insight into where and why you get stuck. We’ll explore the parts of ourselves that feel unheard or unmet in these patterns and discover a new pathway to relational health. You’ll learn practical strategies to help you identify and shift the cycle, so you can return to the loving, connected relationship you both desire.
While the focus for the workshop is on the dynamic between two people, the concepts can be applied to other relationships. Individual participants may reflect on a current or past relationship, polyamorous participants are invited to focus on one relationship, and dyads or couples are welcome to attend together.
Dec 7 | Cultivate Connection: Learn practical relationship strategies
Learn how to get more of what you want in your relationships. We’ll cover research-backed winning and losing relational strategies, how to move from complaint to request, and simple tools for giving and receiving feedback effectively. Come away with a practical toolkit and shared language for cultivating connection in any relationship.
