Mapping the Hypermobile Body
Do you ever feel like you have no idea where you are in space? Do you struggle with moving your body and feeling confident that you are doing things correctly or safely?
Join Pam and Sido for a two part workshop on building and refining your internal mind-body maps so you can finally know where the heck you are!
This two part workshop series is designed for hypermobile bodies, with a focus on building greater awareness, stability, and confidence in movement. Through proprioception, mobility, mind body mapping, and vestibular work, we will explore how to better sense, organize, and navigate the body in space.
Expect to learn
- Why it’s often hard for hyper-mobile people to sense where they are in space.
- How building your mind-body maps can reduce stress and threat through your whole body.
- Scalable and hyper-mobile specific exercises to safely build connection, awareness and strength.
- How to use simple, home based set ups to help you move and explore your range of motion without having to over-think about doing it “correctly”
- The difference between closed chain and open chain exercises and why closed chain often works better.
Come in feeling a little lost and leave feeling more confident, aware and prepared to navigate the world
